Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try (unknown.)
I quite like that quote and think it is so true. Sometimes the thought of a task can put obstacles in our way and we think “no that’s too hard,” or “I can’t do that,” or “Where should I start…” and before you know it, it’s become completely daunting and then you just don’t bother for fear of failure and try to put whatever it was to the back of your mind.
Let’s face it though, if we don’t try or we don’t even start, then it is an absolute guarantee that we are not going to accomplish anything!
My whole point of this post is that we can make the decision to try and help ourselves, if there is something that we need to improve on, or something we are not sure whether we are capable of doing.
I’ve not been looking after myself particularly well lately and in turn I think that’s not making me feel the best I can be. There are some things I can’t control, eg my Hashimotos, but I can try and make a difference by eating well. I’m not going to go on a ‘diet’ but I am going to try and stick to natural foods and see if it makes a difference. I’ve had a pretty successful first day and the only sugar I’m aware that I’ve consumed is half a spoon in a cup of tea so that’s a start!
I want to be the best I can be! Now I know that’s nothing particularly special but I think I owe it to myself to try – and you do too!
So if you are having doubts about something or you are not confident that you will be able to do something, you should at least try! If you don’t get there the first time, you can always try again – there is no rule that says you are only allowed to try something once!
Do this and you will accomplish and have a fantastic sense of achievement – you’ve got this!
