What’s In My Bag?

Posted by

Ruth recently tagged me to write about what is in my bag and as I haven’t done anything like this before, I thought it would be quite fun to do!

I love handbags! I honestly have got so many, in fact too many, but I do have a few favourites that I go to again and again. At the moment I’m using this lovely pink one, it was a leaving present from someone at work and I think it’s really cute! And it’s a really pretty shade of pink, so win win!

It’s quite a small bag but actually I seem to have got quite a lot inside it! So here we go, let’s have a look and see what we’ve got…

Keys – if you’re out and about chances are you’ll need you keys or you’re a teeny bit stuffed! Unless you’re with someone else with keys of course. I’ve got my house keys and car keys, a silver St Christopher my mum gave me. In case you didn’t know, St Christopher is the patron saint of travel, so it’s kind of like a lucky treasure for me. The pink circle on my key ring is a chipolo, my son introduced me to these, you can sync it to your phone so if you lose either, you can call the other one and if it’s nearby you’ll hear the noise 🙂 I also have a little torch (that’s the silver thing) which is quite useful when I come home late and can’t see the path well, we only have one streetlight in my road and it’s fairly countrified so can be very dark at night.

Purse – a Radley one my other half bought me a few years ago. Lots of people have red purses don’t they?

A couple of notebooks and a pen – for, well I don’t know – any eventuality!

National Trust membership cards from when we went to Chartwell last weekend.

An umbrella and some sunglasses – with the weather in England, you really never know what you’re going to get! I probably should have some sun cream and some gloves, a hat, a snow shovel…shame the bag’s not bigger!

Heathcote and Ivory Wild Daisy and Elderflower hand sanitiser. I’m a bit OCD and you know sometimes when you’re out and you’re just feel like you need to make sure your hands are clean? Ugh like when you’ve touched a shopping trolley in the supermarket and you don’t know who else has touched it, yuk 🤮 (this could just be me though…)

Body Shop pink grapefruit hand cream, this is lovely, it smells really fresh and fruity. I wash my hands a lot so they get quite dry and need moisturising.

Glasses – since the age of about 45 I have had to wear them for reading, especially small print and my arms just aren’t quite long enough to stretch any further lol.

Lipstick and moisturiser. The lipstick is a L’Oréal nude pink one. I’ve got a few of them, they’re really pretty.

A small perfume, this one is Ghost and it’s a lovely summery perfume.

Finally a bottle of water which actually doesn’t quite fit in the bag but I had it balanced on the top. It is so important to drink water all day long in this heat and to make sure you stay hydrated.

I quite enjoyed writing this and I hope you enjoyed reading it too 😊
